Last night we hosted over a hundred wonderful people at Capella’s inaugural Charity Quiz Night. It was a huge success, and we were extremely proud to raise well over £3,300 for London’s Air Ambulance. Thank you to everyone for your generosity.
Many people don’t realise that London’s Air Ambulance is a charity and so relies on donations to do their good work. Currently, it’s running a £6 million campaign for a second emergency helicopter for the capital, which will allow medics to reach an extra 400 patients a year.
So far they’ve raised enough to purchase the second helicopter, but what’s needed now is more money to get it in the air early in 2016 and keep it flying for five years. Every penny we raised last night will help make that a reality.
We chose London’s Air Ambulance as our charity for this year after we were inspired by the story of Victoria Lebrec, a close friend of one of our team. Vic has shown extraordinary bravery to bounce back after an horrific cycling accident which required the assistance of the air ambulance. We were delighted Vic was able to join us last night and you can watch her story below.
A huge thank you to everyone for coming along and especially to the Blue Tree Kitchen team for providing us with a fab venue and food; Liberty Wines for donating the evening’s wonderful wine, and Angela and the May & Stephens team for kindly donating the quiz prize.
Looking forward to next year already!
