Within twenty years, computers will be able to design and distribute highly personalised ads that will hit home with humans. That was one of the fascinating predictions from Emi Gal, one of video ad company Teads’ foremost thinkers.
Emi was speaking at a packed media event in London that Capella organised to explore how Artificial Intelligence is being integrated into advertising.
Emi explained how AI is already playing a major role in advertising for brands. He showcased campaigns where smart chatbots are integrated into video ads, allowing consumers to ask questions about particular products as part of ‘conversational commerce’.
Whilst Emi argued that humans will work alongside machines to develop the best creative for the foreseeable future, it was fascinating to see how forms of AI using deep learning have already created art in the form of imagery and music.
The presentation was followed by a lively Q&A that explored the topic of AI in advertising as well as the wider impact AI will have on the world, clearly a subject that fascinates everyone.
Thanks to all those that attended a thought-provoking afternoon.
