They say “old habits die hard” and it seems this is very much the case when it comes to banking.
Last week we delved into the financial challenges faced by the millennial generation, in partnership with price comparison site and switching service, uSwitch.com, getting some super results in the process.
Our research revealed banks are desperately out of touch with young Brits, with six in ten (59%) millennials – those aged between 18-34 – admitting they haven’t set foot in a branch in the last three months. We also discovered that one in four millennials still use the childhood bank account set up for them by their parents.
As the news spread a four-minute slot was secured on Simon Mayo’s ever-popular Drivetime show, where uSwitch spokesperson and money expert, Nicolas Frankcom, discussed the research and the need for a new approach to finance.
